G4 is home to some great television. In the past week or two I’ve recorded Flash Gordon, Toxic Avenger III, and now their newest reality TV show, 2 Months 2 Million.
The premise is 4 young professional poker online players move to Las Vegas for a summer. Their ages range from 22-26. By pooling their casino online money (said to be about a million between them all), their intention is to make $2 million profit in their 2 month long stay playing poker.
The four stars, their ages, and their online names are:
Dani Stern - 22 “ansky” Jay Rosenkrantz- 25 - “Krantz” Brian Roberts - 26 - “Flawless_Victory” Emil Patel - 25 - “whitelime”
Stern actually made it to the 40k final table that ESPN aired to start of the WSOP 2009 coverage.
The show is kind of lame, but a little fun to watch. They are super nerdy guys, but the advent of a camera seems to get them some action from the ladies. The make some silly bets on golf and juvenile behavior stunts. The highlight is the little bit of poker they play. All of it is online, shown abridged. They have a “war room” which is an awesome little room where they can all set up and multitable together. There is a TV screen broadcasting their play so when some players are not playing, they can watch. While they don’t show much poker being played, they do show some insane pots shipping back and forth.
At the end of each week they gather their records to see how much they’ve collectively won or lost. The player that loses the most, or profits the least, at the end of the week is punished with some prank. In this episode Dani had to go to a lunch buffet in a pink tutu and ballerina outfit. It’s a bit pathetic, but somewhat enjoyable. .

I regularly hear from an occasional bowler eager to play real bowling competitively for the first time. When bowling is your goal, this moment is crucial time in growing as a true bowler. This introduction to bowling perfection can help get you there. Professionals at a local bowling pro shop are there to assist bowlers harness bowling skills. Just like a lot of sports, aim the balls at the pins and let them roll. Just kidding. Okay, if only it were that simple. No worry, with a little guidance we’ll make sure you’re throwing the bowling ball correctly.
Most importantly, buy your own the specialized bowling balls, bowling ball bags, and shoes needed to do this right. It’s not a sales pitch, it actually matters. There’s a reason its our number 1 recommendation, have your personal ball drilled, and you’ll never go back. A precision fitted bowling ball can make a substantial improvement in your game. It’s also important you’re enjoying comfortable bowling shoes which are in good condition.
After you may have previous bought the right supplies, listen to another important bowling tip: aiming the ball. As you face the pins, don’t shoot for your actual target, the pins. Aim for the the points about 15 feet down the lane, like a gunsight. Never thought of this? It is easier to roll through a target which sits closer. To take full advantage, double check to see aim from the a consistent place on the floor on every attempt. Roll from the same place, in the same way and you can make small adjustements on your aim using the arrows in the lane.
Do you ever wonder how pros roll with massive hooks on the ball, for ten pin explosion? It is our bowling tip #3. It’s all in the ball type. Actually, professional bowlers travel with at least two bowling balls to get amazing pin action, depending on the type of game and lane. Word of warning: greenhorns should avoid putting on a show, and avoid a ball that is too heavy for you. Many serious bowlers opt for bowling balls featuring reactive materials. Avoid the temptation, because these pro bowling balls might make even some well known pros appear like they don’t know what they’re doing. That’s our first 3 bowling tips. There will be more shortly.

My friends and I play for a company team (US Systems) for a league for our marketing business near Kansas City. I chime in with guidance to beginning bowlers at my blog and at the bowling center. Lastly, I gotta give a shout out to all my heavy rollers at the center. Go Pinheads, Go!

David Benyamine has been making regular appearances in high profile cash poker online games and tournament poker for quite some time, dating back to his first experiences with the game at age twelve. Known for his smart and aggressive style, Benyamine is one of the more solid and dependable forces in the world of professional online poker. He is capable both making a big call in the right spot, a big laydown in the right spot, and bluffing his way out of situations that others might have given up in.
Benyamine’s style is also notable for his attentiveness and quiet fortitude, which make him a silent and deadly lurker at any table.
Benyamine won his first and only World Series of Poker bracelet in 2008 in the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Low Split event, which was one of four final poker online tables he made during that year’s series of events. He has also won a World Poker Tour title at the 2003 Grand Prix de Paris. Though he makes regular TV appearances playing hold em, Benyamine is considered a pot limit Omaha specialist. He also has the rare honor of being engaged to one of poker’s hottest female players Erica Schoenberg, which in and of itself seems a poker feat of the high order.

There are a lot of issues and theories as to what caused Eight Belles’ front ankles to break right after the hose finished second in the 2008 Kentucky Derby. A lot of people say it is the flaws in the breeding system. Others think that the young jockey Gabriel Saez forced her to run beyond her limits with savage whippings. Others say it was the track surface.
Track surface. Now there’s a thought. How can the structure and composition of a track surface kill a horse, one might ask? The track in Churchill Downs, the venue of the 2008 Kentucky Derby, is made mostly of hard dirt. Thoroughbreds that are still in the process of developing their bones have higher risks of breaking them when their hooves are pushed hard against the ground, pretty much what Eight Belles experienced. Eight Belles was pushed to run hard and eventually her ankles gave in and shattered. Her death brought to light the hazards dirt surfaces pose for thoroughbreds.
In a move to protect race horses from injuries and minimize the number of casualties, horse racing enthusiasts are calling for the usage of synthetic race tracks instead of hard dirt. For one, synthetic tracks are proven to be safer and are less prone to injure horses. Artificial racetracks also impose lesser wear and tear on race horses.

Based on what I observe, the reason that many new or inexperienced players lose money playing poker is because they chase too many draws.
And the reason many people do this is because they don’t understand poker pot odds. Listen, I understand the appeal of wanting to play suited connectors, especially when you are four to the flush or on a straight draw on the flop.
But, if you play those hands every time, you’ll lose 80% of the time, and you won’t be making much money that way. Understanding pot odds gives you a better strategy on when you chase draws and when not to.
I would recommend reading books written by the professionals for in depth lessons on pot odds. When I first started playing seriously, I read many fine books, I remember in particular Championship Hold em by T.J. Cloutier and Tom McEvoy having a fine section on pot odds. But regardless of what books you read, they usually contain valuable information to help you along your poker playing way.
Another thing I notice too from newer poker players is overbetting the pot. Like, say I am in a hand with someone and the pot is $3 and there are two hearts on the flop. We both check, then another heart comes up on the turn.
Now, the other player goes all in for $40. Why would do you that? If you have a flush, don’t you wan to entice me to call? And if you’re bluffing, why risk all your chips for a $3 pot? What if I actually have the flush.
Sadly, though, I see plays like this all the time. But people who want to be serious about their game will constantly practice, read, learn, and absorb as much information as possible.

As you may know already, sugar gliders have a wide variety of sounds they make. Four distinct sounds to be exact, and to a new parent they may be foreign. Do not worry, because we are going to take the time now and explain a little bit about each sound and its possible meaning.
The very first sound your sugar glider will probably make is crabbing. You probably heard this noise when you first brought them home. They make this sound out of stress and nervousness, and being in a new environment with new people is enough to make anyone nervous.
You might catch yourself blaming their next noise on the dog. Yes, you heard me correctly, the dog. Unbelievably your little pocket pets bark, but do not worry, it is a lot worse than its bite. Gliders bark for a couple of reasons. One reason is if a new person or animal makes itself visible to your little friend. Gliders also bark to get another gliders or even your attention. If you have more than one glider, you might get caught in the middle of a barking melody.
The next sound you may hear out of your glider’s little mouth may be the most soothing sound a glider can make. These sounds are chirping or chattering. It is actually more of a purring sound as a cat would make and we all know how soothing that can be sometimes. This sound can be translated as your glider being calm, comfortable, and letting you know he has grown fond of you.
The last sound you will probably hear is hissing. As aggressive as it may sound, that is not exactly what it means. Gliders may hiss when introduced to a new glider, but they also make this sound when they are wrestling around or even grooming themselves.
